Yesterday, Smirnoff marched hand-in-hand with drag icon Alyssa Edwards in the NYC Pride March, in the continued fight for global equality.
Edwards and long-standing ally of the LGBTQIA+ community, Smirnoff, know how to take the fun up a notch, and the Pride March on Sunday was no exception. The star of Dancing Queen and RuPaul’s Drag Race led a Smirnoff, Manhattan-shaped float dressed as “Lady Liberty,” alongside 300 marchers, dancing through the streets of NYC to the NEW song “Welcome Home” by LGBTQIA+ advocate Laverne Cox that debuted on Billboard.com on Friday.
The March activity comes on the heels of Smirnoff’s “Welcome Home” campaign, which rolled out the welcome mat for the millions of global LGBTQIA+ community members and allies that arrived in New York throughout the month for the global Pride celebrations, commemorating 50 years since the Stonewall Uprisings. With inclusivity and equality for all at the heart of Smirnoff’s DNA, Smirnoff is proud to have been part of the global Pride celebrations, and continue in the fight for equality for all year-round.
