Capone N Noreaga’s ‘The War Report’ dropped during a transitional time in hip hop -especially in New York-. Just months earlier saw the loss of both 2pac and BIG and so there was a sort of dark cloud and a feeling that you really didn’t know where the music was headed. It was also during this time that other New York artists stepped up to the plate artists like DMX, Big L, Pun and of course Capone N Noreaga. The War Report not only ushered in this new era but became the poster child for hip hop’s return to its roots- real life street $#%^. 
To celebrate, New York Staple Ewing Athletics – in collaboration with Capone N Noreaga released a special ‘War Report’ Rogue. The duo hosted a special event at SOB’s where Attendees
had the opportunity to pick up a 1 of 20 friends and family pair or the slightly more available drop and then treated to a special performance by Capone
