Let me put it out there that Mega Man is one of my favorite video game characters all time. I’ve been a fan of the series dating back to the first time I encountered him on the NES – complete with that awkward cover and all-.
Since then damn near every release has been a must cop or at the very least play. Now as far as toys or displayable vinyl figures I’m not the biggest fan but with a 4 year old son that loves to play with all the characters he encounters in all the old games he gets to play I decided to try out one of these Loyal Subjects blind boxes.
Truthfully I just wanted Mega Man but I quickly realized that I wasn’t going to find him that easily. Nope, I had to go back and buy 5 boxes before I was able to snag him and then I decided that I’d try for atleast the base set and maybe one chase figure. Well if you are aiming for those chase figures get ready to invest in some boxes because having gone through two of these cases I couldn’t snag one instead just receiving doubles and sometimes triples of everything I already had. Then there was the problem of heads arriving detached and limbs from the figures right out of the box. Thankfully they snapped back in but for nearly 14 bucks for one blind box they should arrive with no issues.
Ultimately they are pretty dope to have in the collection, my son loves playing with them and if you are a Mega Man fan then this is a set you’ll probably want to add. If you are just aiming for Mega Man it will more than likely be cheaper to just try and snag one on eBay but if you like the thrill of not knowing what you are going to get -shout out to Forest Gump-
and think that maybe just maybe you’ll snag that highly coveted gold Mega Man -good luck- then this ones for you.
