When Gary unexpectedly passed away last year at the young age of just 39 it stunned all of us and left a void that will never be filled. Since then many around the world including Gary’s closest friends have been paying tribute to Gary in GWAR-istic form. From murals

Its of Gary’s father wearing the one of Nike’s best silhouettes in arguably one of the best color way’s for the model. Â If you notice in the comments of his IG he states it was the only Nike shoe he was waiting on and what better way to immortalize Gary than on this model of the Span and in this colorway.
Complete with his initials on the heel this version will only find its way to 40 of Gary’s friends and family. A proper salute for sneaker royalty props to Nike and everyone involved in making this happen as they have adopted OSD’s mantra of people over sneakers.
