Over the years I’ve seen many dope retro’s sit for a long time only to slowly disappear and never be seen from again. Then like clock work, comes the beasts: “Where can I get them?” “I’ll buy them right now, let me know your paypal.” “Do you have these in an 8.5?” No, no, no and no. Well, I can tell you the Tourissimo retro -which dropped back in February- has, for the most part been sitting and like many shoes of the past if you sleep to long don’t expect to find these again in the not so distant future. Sure, the fact that an 80’s basketball shoe that doesn’t say ‘Jordan’ on it is coming back for the first time in the middle of a running shoe revolution is probably hurting, but guess what? Thats still no excuse.
I remember finding an OG pair a few years back
never thinking FILA would actually re-release them and even if they did I thought the worst. Either the overall quality wouldn’t be on point or something like a boot like toe box would F them up for sure. Nope. FILA not only brought these gems back but did so with a proper shape -that many larger brands should take note of- and with solid quality materials. When brands mess up we %^&*# about it but when a brand does something right they should be saluted and so we salute FILA for bringing back a shoe that will most definitely go down as one of the biggest of 2018.
