Ten years ago Jordan Brand & Levi’s teamed up for a special drop that celebrated the heritage of both brands and here we are about to celebrate once again -this time- with the Jordan IV and the Levi Strauss & Co. denim Trucker Jacket. Before we move on though lets revisit the past real quick. The first go around between the two was…………….not good (no disrespect to those that love them) and here is why. On paper a Jordan 1 x Levi’s was epic. The final product? Not so epic. Jordan Brand was in a completely different place and while the materials were on point the shape of the Jordan 1 at that point was terrible -ultimately they went with a mid cut- and then to add injury to insult they added elephant print?

Why? What did that have to do with a Jordan 1? Yea I know, elephant print was what was hot but if it doesn’t make sense then sometimes its wise to hold back. Moving a long, the bright spot in the collection was the elephant print on the entire inner part of the jeans. This allowed that when you flipped the cuff you were treated to a dope detail that really popped -in a very good creative way-.

Fast forward to 2018 and this collection is much more tastefully done. The Air Jordan IV will feature authentic denim material with a standard wash prominent on the upper and reverse denim material on the liner and insole.
The instantly recognizable Levi’s® “Two Horses” paper patch has been remixed to include the Jumpman logo and is featured on the shoe’s tongue and hangtag. Finishing touches include gum details on the outsole, gold stitching, indigo-color laces and the standard Levi’s Red Tab
The Jordan Reversible Trucker Jacket merges classic Levi’s craftsmanship, Flight Suit-inspired wings details and standard Levi’s® and Jordan branding throughout. Features include worn denim, red Flight Suit material stitched into the underarm panels and lightly distressed Flight logo on the back.
When reversed, you get a black flight suit with a denim accented collar and a Jumpman Flight logo on the back. The jacket is finalized with co-branded dark-copper shank buttons and the classic paper patch on the back hem and attached tag.
Like all Levi’s® denim products, the Air Jordan IV and Trucker Jacket are designed to take a brilliant patina through regular wear which means that you are ENCOURAGED to wear them (which most probably won’t).
