PUMA & COOGI celebrated their Spring 2017 collection together at Jamaican hotspot, Battery Harris.
During the 90’s COOGI became famous on the backs of many in the hip-hop community who sported their unique sweaters. Taking inspiration from that influential time period, PUMA showcased the collection among infamous 90’s albums and music videos, while guests sipped on Hennessy and Moet. Guests turned up to the tunes of HOT97 DJ’s Clark Kent & Megan Ryte, while others waited in line at the in-house bodega, which sported 90’s favorite candies and personalized pins.
Rapper Playboi Carti pulled up and mingled with guests that included T’yanna Wallace, A$AP Bari and Selah Marley to toast the collection.
The OG style will be back on shelves on May 20th for $200 featuring the all-over COOGI sweater material and black formstripe. This pair features authentic COOGI sweater materials, so no two pairs are alike. An exciting addition to the relaunch is COOGI-inspired PUMA sportstyle apparel that includes co-branded tees and a windbreaker with COOGI print.
Following up the OG relaunch, is a release of a new design of the classic PUMA Clyde silhouette. The latest iteration, launching on May 25th for $120, has a clean black leather upper with a COOGI patterned formstripe. The style features a gold foil PUMA branded tongue with 18K gold plated lace tips and eyelets.
