Living in the United States most were/are content with athletes here. Outside of America however is a very large world and in it are some very good athletes including Fernando Romay. The 7 foot tall Spanish basketball player not only represented Spain at the Olympics on two occasions (one of which he won a silver medal) but also represented Puma. While they weren’t all that revolutionary from a design standpoint what made most of these shoes highly sought after all these years (outside of the endorsement itself) is the fact that brand were using very nice leather with simple color combo’s with a sleek beautiful shape. Back then you could throw on a high top shoe like these and they looked plush. With toe box’s looking bulky and round in many casesthat isn’t the case as these days.
