Its football season and with that comes some revisits beginning with the Keds 1954 Football shoe endorsed by one of the greatest football coaches from one of the greatest colleges of all time. While I’m sure it was some marketing guy that wrote Frank Leahy’s statement for Keds, he did allow them to use his photo as faith in the product. Deep digging molded cleats and full breathing black duck uppers make some sense for this shoe but a reinforced kicking toe would only be of importance to a kicker (unless dudes were running around kicking each other).
