In 1941 Roblee (the company that brought you Bruce Jenner’s sneaker line) presented Defenders Shoes. We were two years into World War II and lots of companies were targeting their products to military members and ass you can see this held true for these Defender line of shoes. They are advertised as belonging “with uniform accoutrements” and having features like a Military Monk Front buckle.
