Chrome describes itself as “a company that makes simple, functional gear built with military grade materials and bike specific fit and features that work on the bike and in the bar.” Their sneakers are made out of Forged Rubber™ and according to Chrome “a slower, more bombproof way to make vulcanized shoes.” They’re made using 70-year-old machines they salvaged from Slovakia and whether that really helps to make a tougher sneaker is really unknown. The rubber is harvested from nearby rubber tree farms and forged directly to the canvas upper at 300 degrees Fahrenheit. For more info or to scoop a set for yourself head on over to CHROME.
