The Nike Air Minot may go down as one of the most gangsta running shoes from the late 90’s. Released during a time where Gore-Tex was hot in the streets and dudes were starving for tech apparel and footwear, the Minot featured an array of features that made it a stand out in the streets. Low density midsole for nice cushioning thats stays that way in cold weather, dual compound sole for sick traction, treated textile upper to repel water and a Gore Tex inner boot that is waterproof rounded out a classic release. While they were designed for the hard core runner they were perfect for the back packer voyaging the city streets. Fast forward to 2014 and Nike retro’d the Air Minot however with changes to the upper and this time with an air max midsole (gross). If you can, stick to the OG’s on this way. Take a trip back above!
