If you felt your sneaker iPhone case, sneaker documentaries, sneaker cake, sneaker shirt, sneaker keychain and sneaker hat weren’t enough and thought to yourself, ‘damn, I really need some more sneaker related products in my life’, well no sweat. The Sneaker Calendar should provide that little extra fix. Done up in large-format, with absolutely STUNNING photo’s this calendar showcases twelve of the most legendary sneakers from the past four decades (opinion of the creators of course), starting with extremely rare basketball shoes from the seventies and ranging from popular vintage models from the nineties to an original pair straight from Sir Elton John’s concert wardrobe.
The various shoes have been captured in the perfect setting by twelve renowned photographers that include: Nady El tounsy, Manuel Mittelpunkt, Reinhard Hunger, Rene Riis, Andreas Reimann, Achim Lippoth, Jan Kornstaedt, Benjamin Pezo, Himmel & Burwick, Johann Cohrs, Ragnar Schmuck and Markus Heumann. All photographers were given free rein to do whatever they pleased and as a result, the pictures reveal not only the personalities of the shoes but also the unique style of each photographer.
The biggest feature, however, is how the calendar is used to check off each day of the month. Each calendar is accompanied by twelve pairs of shoe laces and are supposed to be used to lace the shoes day after day: small eyelets punched in the sneaker photos represent the days of the month. Each fashion legend stands for one month, which is over when the shoe is laced up. The calendar released on December 16 and was limited to only 50 pieces. Available Now via Asphalt Gold
