Boing, Boing. If you are old enough to remember the initial release of the shoe then you remember Nike’s interactive marketing that greeted you at your local Athletes Foot (thats the spot I recall using it). When you would approach the shoe there was some sort of sensor that would trigger the sound of a spring going “boing!” Ok, marketing tactics aside the shoe was very comfy (very snug) and looked good. They were also a tad on the heavy side and not cheap (retail was 150.00 USD). If you can find a pair of the original R4 and collect Shox then jump on them. If you’ve never owned a pair then get your hands on a set. For now, take a trip back to 2001 above!
