You gotta love it. Paper shoes, yes paper shoes. The fine people at UTLab (Unbelievable Testing Laboratory) have created a shoe made of Dupont Tyvek uppers.
The shoes take advantage of “the flashspun highdensity polyethylene fiber and its structural material properties which are essentially virtually indestructible and completely water resistant.” Wow.
It all started nearly two years ago when the founder Token Hu, started experimenting with Tyvek while working at Frog Design.
Over 500 samples later and you have UTLab Tyvek paper shoes. The next question, just how comfortable and breathable is this material?
