Its been 5 years and a Yeezy 2 since my favorite shoe of all time the Nike Tech Challenge II 3/4 last hit the shelves and a lot has changed since then. For one, we’ve learned that a lot of our 80’s and 90’s favorites that were retro’d once before and flopped can go on to become instant sell outs the third, fourth, or fifth retro (which sucks for the people that loved the shoe with no hype surrounding it). Enter the Tech Challenge II 3/4 Wimbledon retro. This special makeup has received a lot of positive attention since sites first started writing about them and for good reason. Sure, the colorway isn’t anything flashy but its the for that reason and the quality leather uppers that makes the shoe really stand out. It also doesn’t hurt that we’ve only seen two colorways retro’d to date so the lack of availability for a wearable pair isn’t helping matters. Add to the fact that the 2008 retro is not commanding prices in the 175-400.00 range and well, yea. So for now, they have only showed up in the UK but don’t be surprised to see them show up stateside.
