Ok, so there might be some confusion. On one hand you have the New Balance 205 which most of us know as a retro inspired shoe 
as you can see however, in 1976 New Balance already had a model called the 205. The original 205 was a 13 1/2 ounce running shoe that came in suede and was no frills (but still pretty dope).
