Now here’s a rarity. While a running shoe at heart the Ellipse still emitted a basketball vibe. Maybe it was the word “Con’s” across the tongue or maybe it was that purple gradient on the side of the shoe we were used to seeing on the Aero Jam but there definitely was a basketball vibe coming from this shoe. That aside, this was a clean offering from Converse and while I can’t really remember to many people wearing them (according to Runners World it was a shoe being made for the overseas market and only a limited number would be imported to the United States) looking back some 20 years I think a second release would add some converts. Some of the shoes features included a two-density, compression molded EVA with REACT cushioning pad in rear foot, solid rubber outsole and combination lasted construction. Check out this rarely seen early 90’s running shoe from Converse above!
