Super Mario Bros. was top dog in 1991 that was until Sonic The Hedgehog came came around. Sure, we know who ultimately won the battle (and Super Mario will always be my personal favorite) but Sonic brought something new to the table something fresh and edgy. Like Mario, Sonic had his own clothing and accessories which were popular with mainly kids (although teens rocked the gear too). Nintendo gear was much more common in the late 80’s early 90’s in comparison to Sega gear but it was till dope nonetheless. Take a trip back to 1991 with some old school Sega gear above!
