In 2003 Lebron James a then highschool student made one quantum leap from highschool stand out to NBA super star and while many thought he may sign with Adidas he wound up signing with Nike and the Air Zoom Generation 1 was born. The shoe was designed after the Hummer his mother bought him while he was still a senior in highschool. Looking back you would assume these things probably flew off the shelves but the truth of the matter was it was quite the opposite. To put things in perspective, I was able to pick up several sizes in 2 different colorways of the Zoom Generation 1 (white black red and the black red) all the way to 2009 and they were on the cheap. Today? Another story. If your fortunate enough to find these in your size in most colors (excluding the rare first games) expect to pay in the 200-350.00 range depending on size and condition. Another thing to keep in mind is sizing because these things are SNUG. Whatever you wear in an Nike Air Force 1 its recommended to go at the least a half size up to a full size over that. Take a trip back with the OG Zoom Generation 1!
