During the mid to late 90’s there was a lot of attention surrounding Tibetan independence. In 1996, there were even a series of rock festivals named “The Tibetan Freedom Concert” to help support their cause. Since Airwalk was/is a staple in the skate/rock community this ad (or should I say piece of art) of a Tibetan female acrobat wearing a pair of fly Airwalk sandals while spinning plates, was not only fitting for the company and the time period, but it should be hung up in a gallery.
