You have to wonder how JCPenney got away with a pretty blatant copy of Adidas’s three stripes, but they weren’t the first company to do this. Converse was one of the first company’s to copy the three stripes for their winners circle shoe which eventually changed to four stripes. Take a trip back to 1979 below.
