Alright. Imagine, it s 1986, the bottoms of your sweat pants are so tight they look like rubber bands are wrapped around them, your hair looks like someone cut it blindfolded and your kicks? The Puma RS computer. This shoe was as technologically advanced as they came (outside of Adidas’s Micropacer) for that time period. For one, you had to own an Apple II or Commodore 64 (computer ownership was not nearly as widespread as it is today) and two you had to fork up the cash it cost to buy these bad boys which was $200 for the Puma RS and $95.00 for replacement shoes. Given the fact that the median per capita income in 1986 was $15,122, 200 bucks for a pair of kicks in 1986 was a stretch. Check out pics below of these historic sneakers below.
