So we are traveling back to 1994 for Larry Johnson’s signature shoe from Converse with their “React Juice” technology. Although this is a very nice shoe in a very nice colorway, I have to admit it wasn’t the most sought after shoe at the time. The Sneaker was retro’d in 2003/2004. The lace cover with Larry Johnson’s jersey number on it was removable and gave the shoe a more snug secure feel. The original as well as the retro ran a little snug so going a half size up would be optimal although if your foot is not wide true to size would suffice. All around the quality on both the Original and the retro was on point, however the original was much more comfortable as I believe the retro’s “react juice” was not functional (just for show).
