I know, your probably confused. Hakeem or Akeem? Hakeem Olajuwon the star center of the Houston Rockets changed his name from Akeem to Hakeem because Hakeem is the proper Arabic spelling of his name. The Etonic Akeem was his signature shoe. Although just a memory now, Etonic had a serious presence in the mid to late 80’s into the early 90’s. Their sneakers were relatively cheap but far from what you would call “skips.” Anyhow below is the Etonic Akeem a shoe that is now pretty difficult to come by and runs a little snug (go a half size up if you find a set) enjoy!
