So back in 2004 Jordan Brand decided to bring back the Flint Color way of the Jordan XIII. At the time, the shoe was selling on the secondary market in the 450-650 range depending on size (for the original model). On release day there were long lines, and the shoe sold out pretty fast. Although most novice collectors were ecstatic about the fact of owning a pair of Flint XIII’s a lot of collectors were unhappy about the fit finish and quality. Ok, materials aside, the craftsmanship was just down right poor. My true size was to snug and if I went a half size up it was to big. The shoe was very narrow looking compared to its OG counterpart, the tongue was much much higher and disproportionate to the shoe itself and last but not least these shoes are notorious for leaking a brown looking glue out of the mid sole over time so please be aware of this if your looking for a 2004 pair (you can see hints of this in the pics below). With talk of a re-retro for 2010 lets hope JB gets it right this time. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Photo Vault of the 2004 version enjoy!
