Player samples are tough to come by, but player samples from the 80’s and 90’s are almost impossible. A few years back I got my hands on a rare grass court player sample from 1990 of one of my all time favorite shoes, the Nike Tech Challenge II. They were falling apart but overall were in pretty good shape.
