The Nike Air Raid Originally dropped in 1992 when a lot of people we wearing the “X” shirts, hats, Jackets etc. This was definitely an era specific shoe. You see, the movie to Malcom X’s life released around that time and it was huge. Nike definitely took some inspiration from this movie, the color’s and the big grey “X” straps. The Nike Air Raid was the inspiration for the Nike Air Jordan VIII. Nike blessed us with a retro in 2003, bringing back the most popular color way (black and grey). The Air Raid runs a little small so its advised to go a half size up. The quality on the 2003 retro is good. Below are pictures from the DeFY.
