In 2005 Nike cleverly re-introduced the public to a line of shoes that had been on every collectors want list (the air max 1, 90, 93, 95, and 97). Each shoe was brought back in at least one original color way. Arguably the best shoe to come out of the whole campaign was the Nike Air Max 90 Infrared. First brought back in Europe and Asia, this shoe finally saw store shelves again in the U.S. They didn’t sell out immediately, but they sold well, and eventually after around 3 months they disappeared altogether. The prices eventually skyrocketed. The retro was all around very accurate in terms of looks when comparing to the original. However, the secret that most don’t know is that the European/Asian Market received a more functional pair of Infrareds. The HOA’s were heavy. If you compare them to the Euro/Asia release its very noticeable. The HOA release is also not as comfortable. Outside of this its a good release. Fit wise they run snug so go a half size up.
