Released in 1993 this shoe featured Asics Gel which is a semi-fluid, silicone based substance permanently encapsulated in pads. The Gel pads are placed at points of maximum biomechanical impact in the forefoot and or rearfoot of the shoes midsole depending upon the sport. This was a good running shoe that featured 3M on the tongue, nylon on the toe box, and just great overall color blocking. They run small so go a half size up. Wearable pairs of these are around but difficult to come by. As with the Original Asics Gel Lyte III becareful of color bleeding these shoes are NOTORIOUS for it (although not that bad on this shoe.
