A tough sig shoe for a tough ball player. The X-Pro capitalized on the “X” trend that followed the classic “X” movie about Malcolm X’s life. The shoe was a high top that looked like a trimmed down sleeker looking AF1 with an “x”. At the time, Fila’s FX high, the Air Force 1, Ewings, and of course the X-Pro were all noteable shoes. Fit wise these sneakers are very very comfortable (much more comfortable than the comparable air force 1, Fila fx high, and Ewing’s). They came in a bunch of colorway’s and featured the “Impact Rebound System” which had a spring in the heal of the shoe. The one problem was that Xanthus didn’t have any successful sneakers to follow up with and that is why today, it would be pretty hard to bring these bad boys back (manufacturing costs would most likely outweigh the any potential profit). For now, these shoes remain a part of the past. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Vault enjoy as well as the x man himself doing what he did best, get confrontational.
