Released in 2000 they were relatively easy to obtain, I should know I arrived to pick up my two pairs at around 1 P.M. and walked out with NO ONE in the store. My how times change. The 3m, the Nike Air, the nubuck, the OG air units make this one for the ages. As most of us know that when they re-retro’d this shoe there was a 23 stitched into the side, gone was the Nike Air off the back and the blinged out 3m. The one thing I have to give to the last retro over the 2000 version was the fit. The OG’s from 1990 had a narrow toe box on them, as did the version with the 23 on the side. The 2000 release was a little more roomy on the sides which you may or may not have liked, and the midsole comfort on the 2000 version was better. This colorway came in a box with both Michael Jordan’s face on it. Anyhow, prices have been falling lately for them, people worried they will crack apart, or just lack of desire for them, in any case if your a fan of the Jordan V they are one of those must have releases. Below are pictures from the DeFY. New York Vault enjoy pics of this legendary release.
