Officially the shoe released in 1998, but was made in 1997. This is the Retro of the 1990 release Nike Air Trainer SC in the LA Raiders Colorway. Last years retro has nothing on these. Although these are missing the “34” on the back, all the key features of the shoe are apparent. The 3m on the tongue, the metallic silver paint on the midsole, the black nubuck, the nice pebble grey leather, check, check, check and oh yea check. The one and only problem with these is that the paint on the midsole is known to crack easily. Outside of that the shoe is truer to the original than the 2009 version. They fit true to size, so if your on the hunt for a pair its good to know. If you decide to buy the 2009 version, no shame, its still a nice shoe, disappointing but nice.
