The year was 1991, and the market was pretty much dominated by Nike. Looking back this shoe got lost in the shuffle. The asics gel lyte iii original in one of the best original colorways. This shoe is VERY comfortable and good for casual use. They run small so go a half size up and the colors tend to bleed so be aware of that. Asics retro’d this shoe a few years back in the same colorway but color’s were not dead on (although good.) The store David Z also did a collab with Asics making a Gel lyte III just like the original with one twist. Instead of white mesh they used black instead.
