If you’re from New York and born before 1982 then you know how legendary this shoe is. Enter, the Adidas Rivalry 1986 Ewing original. Official release year for this shoe was 1986. The shoe was made in France, not China, Mexico, or Vietnam FRANCE! Leather quality was top notcH although after years of storage the butter soft leather on the tongue typically drys out and begins to flake (there are pairs stored properly that this didn’t happen to although they are rare). Fit wise these are VERY narrow in the toe area, so much so this writer (who wears a size (11.5-12) needed a size 12.5-13 so keep this in mind if your hunting for a pair. They typically don’t crumble the way some of the earlier shoes do but that doesn’t mean you should not take caution wearing them.
